Consumption Level of Residents refers to per capita consumption of residents. Reflecting the degree of satisfaction by the nation of needs in people¡¯s material and cultural life, it is a comprehensive indicator of the economic development of a country (or region) and the standard of the material and cultural life of people.ª¥
Consumption level of residents can be calculated either in terms of national income (i.e. the material product consumption of residents) or in terms of gross domestic product (i.e. the total consumption including that of labor services). Through calculating different prices of consumption by residents, the consumption of residents at current prices and that at comparable prices are obtained respectively. The latter is used to reflect the growth of actual consumption of residents. In order to observe the composition of residential consumption in kind, the volume and value of average consumption of various consumer goods can be further calculated to reflect the growing needs of residents for means of pleasure and development upon satisfaction of the n eeds for means of existence.ª¥
Disposable Income of Urban Households refers to the actual income of households after paying personal income tax and expenditure on social security, i.e. total income of households minus personal income tax, expenditure on social security and sample household subsidy for keeping dairies.ª¥
Consumption Expenditure of Urban Households refers to total expenditure of the sample households for consumption in daily life, including expenditure on eight categories: food, clothing, household facilities, articles and services, health care and medical services, transport and telecommunication, recreational, educational and cultural services, residence, miscellaneous goods and services. ª¥
Total Income of Rural Households refers to the sum of income earned from various sources by the rural households and their members during the reference period, and is classified into income from wages and salaries, income from household operations, income from properties and income from transfers.ª¥
Net Income of Rural Households refers to the total income of rural households from all sources minus all corresponding expenses. The net income is mainly used as input for reproduction and as consumption expenditure of the current year, and also used for savings and non-compulsory expenses of various forms. "Per capita net income of farmers" is the level of net income averaged by population which reflects the average income level of rural households in a given area. The formula for calculation is as follows:

Monitoring of Well-off Society in an All-round Way in Rural Areas refers to comprehensive evaluation of the degree and process of realization of well-off society in an all-round way in rural areas of a region, conducted through a corresponding indicator system, standards of evaluation, and a scientific evaluation model. The Standards of a well-off society in an all-round way in rural areas were formulated by National Bureau of Statistics and Policy Research Office of the State Council, including eighteen indicators in six aspects.
A well-off society in an all-round way is a phased target, lying between an overall well-off society and basic realization of modernization. Therefore, the standards of a well-off society in an all-round way are higher than the standards of an overall well-off society formulated in the early 1990s, but lower than the standards of basic realization of modernization.
