ª¥ª¥¢ñ. This chapter covers the following data:ª¥

ª¥ª¥£¨2£©Output of major products of industry above designated size,
ª¥ª¥£¨3£©Main indicators on economic benefits of industry above designated size of the province and cities,ª¥
ª¥ª¥£¨4£©Main financial indicators on industry above designated size grouped by sector and scale,
ª¥ª¥£¨5£©Main economic indicators on nine pillar industries and hi-tech manufacturing industries above designated size,
ª¥ª¥£¨6£©Top 50 Industrial Enterprises of the Province in terms of gross industrial output value, principal business revenue, and net value of fixed assets.
ª¥ª¥¢ò. The data in this chapter are prepared and provided by the Division of Industry and Transport Statistics of Statistics Bureau of Guangdong Province.
ª¥ª¥¢ó. The data in this chapter are collected, tabulated and prepared by the municipal and county statistical bureaus mainly in accordance with the industrial statistical reporting scheme stipulated by the National Bureau of Statistics, of which the annual data of 1995 were collected in the Third National Industrial Census and the data of 2004 were collected in the First National Economic Census of Guangdong. The data of 2008 were collected in theSecond National Economic Census of Guangdong. Since the data of the Second National Economic Census of Guangdong has not yet been verified by the National Bureau of Statistics, some data in the Yearbook may be slightly different from the final data.
ª¥ª¥¢ô. Industrial enterprises above designated size refers to legal person industrial enterprises with annual principal business revenue of over 5 million yuan. In 2006 and prior to it, it referred to all state-owned industrial enterprises and non-state-owned industrial enterprises with annual principal business revenue of over 5 million yuan. In 2007 and since then, it does not include state-owned industrial enterprises with principal business revenue less than 5 million yuan.
ª¥ª¥¢õ. Industrial sectors since 2003 in this chapter has been categorized in accordance with the 2002 Industrial Classification of the National Economy and the sizes of industrial enterprises have been categorized in accordance with the 2003 Interim Regulations on Statistical Categorization of Large, Medium and Small Industrial Enterprises.
ª¥ª¥VI. The value-added of industrial enterprises above designated size in this chapter is calculated by production approach. The value-added of industry by the production approach in 2008 and 2009 is reckoned according to the value-added of the average industry calculated in the Cost Survey Table. The provincial value-added of industry is reckoned according to the provincial value-added of the average industry. The municipal value-added of industry is reckoned according to the municipal value-added of the average industry. There is some difference between the industrial value-added by production approach and that by reckoning. Please take that into account when using the data.
