13 Construction Brief Introduction      Ⅰ. The data in this chapter show the development of the construction industry in Guangdong Province. They cover mainly the statistics of production and management of the enterprises of construction of the whole province and its cities, including the number of enterprises, the number of employed persons, gross output value of construction, floor space of buildings, value-added of construction, total profits and total pre-tax profits, etc.      Ⅱ. The data in this chapter are prepared and provided by the Division of Investment and Construction Statistics of Statistics Bureau of Guangdong Province.      Ⅲ. The data in this chapter are collected in accordance with the Reporting Scheme of Construction Statistics stipulated by the National Bureau of Statistics.The coverage of construction statistics includes construction enterprises with legal person qualifications and independent accounting system and industrial establishments affiliated with corporate construction enterprises under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province.      The data since 2004 include all construction enterprises with construction qualifications and independent accounting system..
