15 Domestic Trade
Brief Introduction
     ¢ñ. The date in this chapter show the development of Guangdong¡¯s domestic market£¬including mainly the circulation of commodities in the wholesale and retail trades£¬the sales in accommodations and catering services and the total retail sales of consumer goods£¬etc.
     ¢ò. The data are collected and processed in accordance with the Statistical Reporting Scheme on Wholesale and Retail Trades, Accommodations and Catering Services stipulated by the National Bureau of Statistics. Data on basic conditions for all corporate enterprises of wholesale, retail, accommodations and catering services above the designated size are collected through comprehensive reporting systems and data are reported level by level in a bottom-up manner. Data on small-size enterprises and individual enterprises below the designated size are collected through sample surveys.
     ¢ó. The statistical coverage in this chapter comes as follows:
Criteria for wholesale and retail sale trades, accommodations and catering services above designated size is defined as follows£ºwholesale trade with annual sales of 20 million yuan or above, retail sale trade with annual sales of 5 million yuan or above, hotels with annual turnover of 2 million yuan or above, and catering services with annual turnover of 2 million yuan or above.
     The table of total purchases£¬sales and inventory include corporate units, establishments and individuals of various types of ownership both above and below designated size by category of commodities.
     The table of total retail sales of consumer goods includes the retail sales of corporate units, establishments and individuals of various types of ownership to urban and rural residents and institutions.
     ¢ô. Data of 2005 to 2008 on retail sales volume of consumer goods and related sales figures have been adjusted in accordance with the figures from the second national economic census.
