15 Domestic Trade Brief Introduction     Ⅰ. The date in this chapter show the development of Guangdong’s domestic market，including mainly the circulation of commodities in the wholesale and retail trades，the sales in accommodations and catering services and the total retail sales of consumer goods，etc.     Ⅱ. The data are collected and processed in accordance with the Statistical Reporting Scheme on Wholesale and Retail Trades, Accommodations and Catering Services stipulated by the National Bureau of Statistics. Data on basic conditions for all corporate enterprises of wholesale, retail, accommodations and catering services above the designated size are collected through comprehensive reporting systems and data are reported level by level in a bottom-up manner. Data on small-size enterprises and individual enterprises below the designated size are collected through sample surveys.     Ⅲ. The statistical coverage in this chapter comes as follows: Criteria for wholesale and retail sale trades, accommodations and catering services above designated size is defined as follows: wholesale trade, having 20 or more employees at the year-end with annual sales over 20 million yuan; retail sale trade, having 60 or more employees at the year-end with annual sales over 5 million yuan; accommodations, certified hotels with star-ranking; catering services, having 40 or more employees at the year-end with annual turnover over 2 million yuan.     The table of total purchases，sales and inventory include corporate units, establishments and individuals of various types of ownership both above and below designated size by category of commodities.     The table of total retail sales of consumer goods includes the retail sales of corporate units, establishments and individuals of various types of ownership to urban and rural residents and institutions.     Ⅳ. Due to National Economic Census, the table of total purchases, sales and stock of enterprises above designated size and the table of financial indicators are not yet available.     V. The data in this chapter are prepared and provided by the Division of Trade and External Economic Relations Statistics of Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Statistics.
