17 Tourism Brief Introduction      ¢ñ. The data in this chapter show the basic conditions of tourism, including number of international tourists entering China through ports in Guangdong (including foreigners, Chinese compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), number of domestic and international tourists received by cities, number of tourists received by travel agencies, and earnings from tourism, etc.ª¥      ¢ò. The data in this chapter are prepared and edited by the Division of Trade and External Economic Relations Statistics of Statistics Bureau of Guangdong Province.ª¥      ¢ó. Data sources and statistical coverage:      (1) The data in this chapter are provided by Guangdong Provincial Tourism Administration.      (2) Number of international tourists entering China through ports in Guangdong is a summary of data provided by the frontier inspection posts of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, and Shantou, as well as the Guangdong Provincial Command of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force.      (3) Basic statistics on tourist agencies, the number of tourists received by lodging facilities, and the number of tourists received by travel agencies are summaries of reports from various enterprises, whereas the number of tourists received by cities and earnings from domestic and international tourism are estimates from sample surveys.
