| 7 Production and Consumption of Energy |
Brief Introduction |
¢ñ. The data in this chapter reflect the energy production, consumption, and efficiency of Guangdong Province, mainly including the energy production and consumption and their composition, the energy consumption by sector, the overall balance of energy, energy consumption per unit by city, the elasticity ratios of energy production and consumption, the efficiency of energy conversion and the consumption of energy for non-production use, etc.
¢ò. The data in this chapter are prepared and provided by the Division of Energy Statistics of Statistics Bureau of Guangdong Province.ª±ª¥
¢ó. The data in this chapter come from the Energy Balance Sheet of the whole province and the Sheets of Energy Purchase, Consumption and Storage of Key Energy Consumption Industrial Enterprises. The coverage of the regional energy balance includes the units that produce and consume energy. Among them, the data on the energy consumption of all the state-owned industrial enterprises and the enterprises with yearly sales revenue over 5 million yuan are collected by the statistical agencies in accordance with the statistical reporting scheme stipulated by the National Bureau of Statistics and tabulated and reported to the higher authorities level by level; the data on the energy processing, transformation and consumption are derived from the Sheets of Energy Purchase, Consumption and Storage of Key Energy Consumption Industrial Enterprises; other data are provided by related government departments, companies and enterprises.
¢ô. Data coverage and calculation:
(1) The elasticity ratio of energy production is calculated as the quotient of the growth rate of energy production divided by the growth rate of GDP; and the elasticity ratio of energy consumption is calculated as the quotient of the growth rate of energy consumption divided by the growth rate of GDP.
(2) In the energy balance sheet, the data on the imports and exports are data from the customs statistics. The ratio for converting electric power into the standard coal equivalent is calculated according to the average consumption of coal for generating electricity.
(3) In the table on the efficiency of energy conversion, the ratio for converting electric power into the standard coal equivalent is calculated on the basis of heat value equivalent. One kilowatt is equal to 0.1229 kg SCE. |
